    The TE-6070DBLX-2_5 is a non-regulatory PM2.5 high-volume air sampler designed for collection of particulate matter that is 2.5µm or less for non-regulatory sampling and institutional studies. This system collects particulates at a flow rate of 40 cfm through a PM2.5 size-selective inlet onto standard 8" × 10" filter media.

    Mass Flow Control Technology

    The mass flow controller uses a hot wire anemometer probe inserted into the flow stream to automatically adjust motor speed as the filter begins to collect particulate. This thermal mass detection system increases or decreases motor speed to maintain steady flow rate throughout the sampling period, compensating for filter loading and environmental conditions.

    Digital Timer and Brushless Motor Configuration

    This system includes the US EPA recommended digital timer to ensure accurate sampling results, providing precise programmable control for 24-hour sampling cycles. The maintenance-free brushless motor eliminates routine brush replacement and supports extended field deployment in continuous monitoring applications.

    PM2.5 Size-Selective Sampling

    The PM2.5 size selective inlet captures only 2.5µm particulates which continue through the inlet to be collected on the filter, while larger particulates are trapped inside the inlet. Filters are weighed before and after sampling to determine the mass of particulates smaller than 2.5 microns, providing gravimetric measurement capability.

    Complete System Components

    The system includes motor, timer, flow controller, elapsed time indicator, outdoor aluminum shelter, and pressure recorder. The anodized aluminum shelter provides weather protection for electronics and sample collection components during field deployment.

    Applications
