    The TE-6070VBL-2.5 is a high volume air sampler engineered for PM2.5 particulate matter collection according to EPA reference methods for fine particles with aerodynamic diameters ≤ 2.5 µm. This configuration combines volumetric flow control (VFC) with a brushless motor system to deliver reliable field performance for non-regulatory monitoring and institutional research applications.

    Volumetric Flow Control Operation

    The VFC system uses differential pressure measurement across the PM2.5 size-selective inlet to maintain consistent volumetric flow rates despite variations in filter loading and environmental conditions. This approach ensures accurate sample volume calculations throughout the 24-hour sampling period, providing more consistent mass concentration data compared to constant mass flow systems.

    PM2.5 Size-Selective Inlet

    Equipped with a PM2.5 size-selective inlet designed to collect particles according to 40 CFR Part 50, Appendix L specifications for PM2.5 reference method sampling. The inlet uses cyclone or impactor technology to remove particles larger than 2.5 µm aerodynamic diameter while allowing fine particles to pass through to the filter.
