Glass Petri Dishes with Aluminum Lids - Set of 12 SKU: TE-10-704

The TE-10-704 is a set of 12 glass petri dishes with aluminum lids designed specifically for use with Andersen-style viable cascade impactors. These precision collection plates enable accurate capture and cultivation of airborne bacteria and fungi during microbial air sampling operations.

Bioaerosol Collection

Petri dishes containing an agar medium are placed in the instrument and the sample of air is drawn in which the corresponding particulates are collected at each stage on the agar medium. The Petri dishes are then removed, incubated and counted by an accepted method. These viable bacterial particulates are then incubated and then counted or identified. They can then be recorded and related to where they may be deposited on the human lung.

Compatibility

Compatible with Andersen-style viable impactors, including six stage (TE-10-800), two stage (TE-10-860), or single stage (TE-10-890) cascade impactor configurations. The Andersen Six Stage Viable Impactor has an aluminium inlet cone, six aluminium jet stages, glass Petri dishes, and an aluminium base plate held together by three spring clamps and sealed with o-ring gaskets. Each stage has 400 precision machined jet orifices.

Applications

Used for the collection of airborne aerosols containing bacteria or fungi in environmental monitoring, indoor air quality assessments, pharmaceutical manufacturing, hospital and cleanroom validation, and bioaerosol research. The Six Stage Bioaerosol Sampler is a cost effective, multi-stage, multi-orifice cascade impactor that measures concentration and particle size distribution of aerosol-type bacteria and fungi in the ambient air.

Sample Handling

All these models Microbial (Viable) Cascade Impactors require glass Petri dishes. The Petri dishes are removed after the sampling, incubated, and counted by an accepted method. The aluminum lids provide secure closure during transport to laboratory incubation facilities while maintaining sample integrity for accurate viable particle enumeration.
