    $1,396.00

The TE-1001 aluminum shelter is the weatherproof outdoor housing designed specifically for Tisch Environmental's Polyurethane Foam (PUF) air sampling systems. This anodized aluminum shelter features a gabled roof assembly and houses the timer, magnehelic gauge, vacuum motor, elapsed time indicator, flow venturi, and dual sampling module required for EPA-compliant ambient air monitoring programs.

    Weather-Resistant Construction

The rugged construction of the outdoor enclosure allows it to withstand the elements with minimal maintenance. The shelter is designed to allow particulate matter to be drawn onto the filter from all four sides, ensuring optimal sampling efficiency while protecting internal components from harsh outdoor conditions. The anodized aluminum finish provides long-term corrosion resistance for continuous outdoor deployment.

    EPA Method Compliance

This shelter supports PUF samplers configured for multiple EPA ambient air monitoring methods including EPA methods TO-4A, TO-9A, and TO-13A. EPA TO-13A specifically addresses the determination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, while TO-4A covers organochlorine pesticides and PCBs, and TO-9A addresses dioxins and dibenzofurans in ambient air.

    Compatibility

The TE-1001 shelter is compatible with all Tisch Environmental PUF sampler configurations, including:

    • Manual flow controlled PUF samplers with brush-style or brushless motors
    • PLUS technology PUF samplers with microprocessor-based flow control
    • Standard high volume PUF systems operating at 125-250 LPM

PUF samplers are built with the same basic components: a motor, timer, flow controller, elapsed time indicator, outdoor aluminum shelter, and pressure gauge. The TE-1001 provides the essential protective housing that enables continuous outdoor operation of these precision monitoring systems.

    Installation and Service Access

The gabled roof design facilitates rainwater runoff while providing easy access to internal components for routine maintenance, calibration, and sample collection procedures. The container should be labeled with the site ID, the operator's name, and the sample date, and placed in the Hi-Vol PUF sampler enclosure until the sample is collected, highlighting the shelter's role in protecting samples during the collection process.
