Complete 4 Inch Filter Holder Assembly for PUF Sampling Applications
The TE-1008 complete filter holder assembly serves as the upper particulate collection component in dual sampling PUF modules designed to meet EPA methods TO-4A, TO-9A, and TO-13A. This 4-inch diameter filter holder captures airborne particulate matter while air flows through to the lower PUF cartridge for vapor-phase contaminant collection.
Dual-Stage Sampling Design
PUF high volume air samplers collect both airborne particulate and vapor contaminants, typically used for volatile organic compounds and airborne pesticides. The TE-1008 filter holder forms the critical upper stage of this dual-chamber system, housing the particulate filter above the polyurethane foam cartridge.
Complete Assembly Components
The TE-1008 complete assembly includes all components needed for particulate collection:
- Filter holder body with stainless steel support screens
- Hold-down frame for secure filter retention
- Silicone gasket for leak-proof sealing
- Hardware for proper assembly and alignment
Compatibility and System Integration
This filter holder is designed for dual sampling PUF modules operating at flow rates between 125-250 lpm. Compatible with 4-inch diameter particulate filters including quartz and glass fiber media. Use with TE-QMA4 quartz microfiber filters for optimal particulate collection efficiency.
Replacement Parts Available
Individual components available separately for maintenance:
- TE-1008-2: Filter holder body with stainless steel screens
- TE-1008-1: Hold-down frame
- TE-1008-8: Silicone gasket (4.5" OD)
Applications
Designed for sampling using EPA Compendium Methods TO-4A, TO-9A, and TO-13A for determination of toxic organic compounds in ambient air including:
- Pesticides and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs)
- Polyhalogenated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans
- Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs)
- Semi-volatile organic compounds in ambient air monitoring
Essential component for environmental monitoring stations, industrial hygiene assessments, and research applications requiring EPA-compliant sampling methods for airborne toxics.
