The TE-117415 is a maintenance-free brushless motor designed for high volume air sampling systems with mass flow controlled (MFC) configurations. This motor works in conjunction with mass flow controllers that use hot wire anemometer probes to maintain steady flow rates throughout sampling periods by automatically adjusting motor speed as filters collect particulate.

Technical Operation

Unlike brush-style motors that require periodic carbon brush replacement, brushless motors eliminate maintenance requirements and produce no electrical emissions. The TE-117415 receives variable speed control signals from MFC systems, allowing precise flow rate adjustments in response to changing filter loading conditions. This design ensures consistent sampling flow rates required for EPA-compliant ambient air quality monitoring.

System Compatibility

This motor is specifically designed for mass flow controlled high volume air samplers including TSP, PM10, and PM2.5 particulate sampling systems that use hot wire anemometer flow control. Compatible MFC controllers include models such as the TE-300-310-BL (110V) and TE-300-312 (combination controller). The motor connects via specialized 5-pin wiring to brushless MFC systems.

Important: This motor is NOT compatible with volumetric flow controlled (VFC) systems, brush-style MFC systems, or manual flow control configurations. For VFC systems, use the TE-117416 brushless motor instead. For 120V MFC applications, specify the TE-117417.

Installation and Maintenance

Brushless motors require no routine maintenance and eliminate the brush replacement schedules associated with traditional motors. The TE-117415 features direct mounting compatibility with standard Tisch Environmental blower assemblies and connects through the specialized brushless motor wiring harness.
