The TE-20-305 glass fiber filters are specifically engineered for use with Andersen Cascade Impactors for the collection of airborne aerosols in stages 0 and 1. These 81mm diameter filters feature open centers designed for stages "0" and "1" where the larger particle fractions are collected during size-selective aerosol sampling.

    Technical Construction

Constructed from 100% micro-fine borosilicate glass fibers, these filters deliver high flow rate capability with micron and sub-micron filtration efficiency. The borosilicate glass fibers are chemically inert and resistant to all but strongly alkaline bases or hydrofluoric acid, with heat resistance up to 600°C before softening begins.

    Cascade Impactor Compatibility

These filters are designed for 28.3 ALPM sample flow rate applications in eight-stage cascade impactor systems. Particulate concentration is calculated by pre- and post-weighing of the 81mm sample substrates positioned below each orifice stage. The open center design accommodates the high-velocity air flow that impacts larger particles while allowing smaller particles to continue to subsequent stages.

    Applications

    • Aerodynamic particle separation in nine size fractions
    • Gravimetric analysis applications where lighter, less hygroscopic substrates are preferred
    • High volume PM-10 air sampling for atmospheric particulates and aerosols
    • Removal of micron and sub-micron particulate from ambient air and stack gases

    Package Details

Supplied in boxes of 100 filters, providing sufficient quantity for extended sampling campaigns. For quartz fiber alternatives with similar specifications, consider the TE-20-305-QZ filters which offer enhanced chemical purity for specialized analytical requirements.

Compatible with Tisch Environmental's complete line of Andersen-type cascade impactors and requires exact flow rate maintenance at 28.3 ± 1.5 ALPM for optimal particle size separation performance.
