The TE-20-305-QZ 81mm quartz fiber filter with open center is designed specifically for use with Andersen Cascade Impactors. These high-purity quartz microfiber filters excel in particle size fractionation applications where thermal stability and chemical inertness are essential.
Cascade impactors collect particulates on slotted quartz fiber substrates, with each filter serving as a collection stage for specific particle size ranges. Operating at 28.3 liters per minute (LPM), particle fractionation ranges from >10.0 to 0.4 micrometers diameter across the impactor's multiple stages.

Compatibility
This 81mm open center configuration is specifically designed for Andersen Cascade Impactor applications. The open center design allows proper airflow through the impactor stages while providing the collection surface needed for particle impaction. Compare with the solid center version (TE-20-301-QZ) which is used for different impactor configurations.
Applications
Ideal for air sampling in acidic gases, stacks, flues and aerosols, particularly at high temperatures and in PM-10 testing. These filters are widely used in environmental studies to measure airborne particulate matter, such as PM2.5 and PM10, which are critical indicators of air pollution. Well suited for measuring heavy metal concentrations and small amounts of particles due to their exceptional purity and chemical stability.
