7 Day Mechanical Timer with MFC, Brush Motor, 110V 60Hz
The TE-300-313 combines a 7-day mechanical timer with mass flow controller and 20 to 60 SCFM air flow capability in a single integrated unit. This combination controller delivers precise flow control and automated sampling schedules for EPA-compliant ambient air quality monitoring applications.
Mass Flow Control Technology
The mass flow controller uses a hot wire anemometer probe inserted into the flow stream to automatically adjust motor speed as the filter collects particulate. The hot wire anemometer detects changes in thermal mass to increase or decrease motor speed, maintaining steady flow rate throughout the sampling period. This active flow control ensures consistent sample volumes regardless of filter loading conditions.
7-Day Mechanical Timer
Recognized by its bright yellow timer dial, the 7-day mechanical timer uses a series of on/off trippers to set the sampling schedule. The mechanical design provides reliable operation in outdoor environments without requiring battery backup or digital programming. Users can configure custom sampling schedules across a full week cycle using the adjustable trip pins.
Key Specifications
- Flow Range: 20 to 60 SCFM
- Power Requirements: 110 volts, 60 Hz
- Motor Type: Brush style (requires periodic brush replacement)
- Timer Type: 7-day mechanical with trip pins
- Compatible with 8" x 10" filter media
Compatibility
The TE-300-313 integrates into TSP, PM10, and PM2.5 high volume air sampling systems. The mass flow controller plugs into the TE-5012 elapsed time indicator, which then connects to the mechanical timer's timed female cord. Compatible with brush-style blower motor assemblies requiring 110V power. Alternative voltage configurations include TE-300-313X (220V 50Hz) and TE-300-313XZ (220V 60Hz).
Applications
Designed for EPA-compliant ambient air monitoring stations requiring automated sampling schedules and precise flow control. Systems with 7-day mechanical timers ensure accurate sampling results for regulatory compliance monitoring. Suitable for remote installations where digital timer programming may be impractical or where mechanical reliability is prioritized over advanced scheduling features.
Note: TE-QMA micro quartz filter media required for PM10 applications. This unit includes both timer and flow control functions but requires separate blower motor assembly and elapsed time indicator for complete system operation.
