The TE-300-313XZ combines 7-Day Mechanical Timer functionality with Mass Flow Controllers (MFC) precision for EPA-compliant ambient air monitoring. This integrated unit delivers automated sampling control and accurate flow management in a single 220-volt, 60-hertz configuration.

    Mass Flow Control Technology

The Mass Flow Controller uses a hot wire anemometer to maintain a steady flow rate throughout the sampling period. The hot wire anemometer probe is inserted into the flow stream and automatically adjusts the motor speed as the filter begins to collect particulate, ensuring constant mass flow for accurate sample collection.

    Automated Sampling Operation

The integrated 7-day mechanical timer enables unattended operation for extended monitoring periods. The controlled flow rate of an MFC sampler is adjustable and must be set to the proper design flow rate. The flow-rate set point of the mass flow controller must be correctly adjusted so that the deviations are "centered" with respect to the seasonal average temperature and barometric pressure at the site.

    Key Specifications

    • Power: 220 volts, 60 hertz
    • Brush Style motor configuration
    • Flow control: Hot wire anemometer technology
    • Timer: 7-day mechanical operation

    Compatibility

The TE-300-313XZ is designed for integration with Tisch Environmental high volume air samplers including:

    • TSP (Total Suspended Particulate) samplers
    • PM10 and PM2.5 particulate samplers
    • Systems requiring flow rates between 36-60 ft³/min

    For 110-volt applications, see TE-300-313. For 220-volt 50-hertz configurations, see TE-300-313X.

    Installation and Calibration

Following the manufacturer's instructions, adjust the mass flow controller until the manometer reading indicates the sampler set point. Verify that the flow controller will maintain this flow rate for at least 10 min. Proper calibration ensures compliance with EPA ambient air monitoring requirements.

    Applications

Essential for EPA-compliant ambient air quality monitoring applications including:

    • National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) monitoring
    • State and local air quality assessment programs
    • Industrial source testing and compliance monitoring
    • Environmental research and special studies
