The TE-5070-BL is a 220-volt brushless blower motor assembly specifically designed for Volumetric Flow Controlled (VFC) systems. This maintenance-free motor delivers consistent performance in high volume ambient air sampling applications, eliminating the need for regular brush replacement while providing precise flow control for EPA-compliant monitoring programs.

Brushless Technology Benefits

Brushless motors are generally more efficient, especially at lower speeds, and maintain high efficiency across their speed range. The TE-5070-BL eliminates carbon brush wear points, reducing maintenance requirements and extending operational life. Lower heat generation and generally quieter operation make this motor ideal for continuous 24-hour sampling operations in ambient monitoring stations.

Universal VFC Compatibility

Despite its 220-volt specification, the TE-5070-BL is compatible with all VFC systems regardless of their control voltage (110V or 220V). The TE-5070-BL Brushless Blower Motor male cord set plugs into the Transformer Female cord set, allowing proper voltage conversion and system integration. This universal compatibility simplifies inventory management and ensures the motor works across different sampler configurations.

VFC System Applications

The volumetric flow controller maintains a constant flow rate to ensure the system collects an accurate and representative sample. The TE-5070-BL motor works with VFC systems for TSP, PM10, and PM2.5 sampling applications, delivering the consistent airflow required for EPA reference method compliance including 40 CFR Part 50, Appendix B and 40 CFR Part 50, Appendix J.

Compatible Systems

The TE-5070-BL motor integrates with complete VFC sampler systems including the TE-6070 series PM samplers and TE-5170 series TSP samplers. It works in conjunction with volumetric flow controllers such as the TE-10557 series and requires proper electrical connections through transformer assemblies for voltage matching.

Installation and Operation

When properly connected, the brush-less motor will operate at full speed during calibration procedures. Allow the sampler motor to warm up to its normal operating temperature before conducting calibration or sampling operations. The brushless design eliminates break-in procedures required with brush-style motors, reducing setup time and maintenance schedules.
