The TE-GE810 glassine envelopes provide protective storage for TE-G653 glass fiber filters in the standard 8" × 10" size. These envelopes protect filters from fingerprints, dust and dirt during storage and transport, maintaining filter integrity for accurate gravimetric analysis.
Protection and Storage
Glassine material provides a protective barrier against light, moisture, and other environmental factors that could contaminate filters before use. The semi-translucent, milky white appearance allows easy identification of filter contents while maintaining protection. The acid-free and water-resistant properties make them ideal for storage of EPA-compliant filter media.
- Semi-transparent construction for easy filter identification
- Acid-free material prevents contamination
- Water-resistant barrier protects against moisture
- Lightweight yet durable construction
Compatibility
These envelopes are specifically sized for TE-G653 glass fiber filters in 8" × 10" dimensions. The TE-G653 filters are used with high volume air samplers as specified in 40 CFR Part 50, Appendixes B (TSP) and J (PM10). The envelopes accommodate the full filter size while providing secure closure to prevent contamination during storage and handling.
Laboratory Applications
Essential for maintaining chain of custody and preventing cross-contamination in ambient air monitoring programs. These are recommended for gravimetric determination of airborne particulates and use with all high volume Total Suspended Particulate (TSP) samplers. The protective storage maintains filter cleanliness between pre-conditioning, sampling, and post-sampling analysis phases required for EPA compliance monitoring.
Each box contains 100 glassine envelopes, providing sufficient supply for routine high-volume air sampling operations and EPA-mandated ambient air quality monitoring programs.
