    High Volume Polyurethane Foam Air Sampler for Pesticides and Semi-Volatile Organics

    The TE-1000BLXZ is a high volume air sampler for the collection of airborne volatile organic compounds and particulate matter using a dual sampling module configuration. The PUF high volume air sampler collects airborne particulate and vapor contaminants through specialized polyurethane foam media, making it ideal for ambient air monitoring of pesticides, PFAS compounds, and other semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOCs).

    EPA-Compliant Sampling Method

    These systems are designed to meet the requirements described for sampling using US EPA method TO-4A, TO-9A, and TO-13A. The dual sampling approach captures both particulate matter on filter media and vapor-phase contaminants on the polyurethane foam substrate below, providing comprehensive collection for complex organic pollutants typically found in ambient air monitoring applications.

    Technical Operation

    This sampler operates between 125-250 lpm and uses either a manual motor speed controller or the Tisch Environmental PLUS controller to control the flow rate. The flow is pulled through a critical orifice with either a brushless or brush style vacuum blower motor assembly which is used to control and calculate the ambient flow rate. The system includes a magnehelic gauge for monitoring differential pressure across the critical orifice for flow rate determination.
