    The TE-5170VFCX is a high volume air sampler configured for Total Suspended Particulate (TSP) sampling in compliance with 40 CFR Part 50, Appendix B. This EPA reference method captures particles with aerodynamic diameters of approximately 100 µm or less at flow rates between 39-60 ft³/min, making it suitable for ambient air monitoring, research applications, and regulatory compliance monitoring.

    PLUS Technology Flow Control

    The VFC PLUS controller represents advanced ambient air sampling technology. It utilizes a microprocessor based controller for instantaneous and accurate flow control. The system's built in temperature and barometric pressure sensors along with the microprocessor-based mass flow controller allow the system to accurately calculate the flow rate. The total volume of air sampled, corrected to EPA standard conditions (25°C, 760 mm Hg [101 kPa]), is determined from the measured flow rate and the sampling time.
