TSP Hi-Vol Sampler - MFC, Mechanical Timer, Brushless Motor, 110V

TE-5170BL is a high-volume air sampler engineered for total suspended particulate (TSP) sampling under EPA reference method 40 CFR Part 50, Appendix B. This configuration collects particles with aerodynamic diameters of approximately 100 µm or less on 8" × 10" glass fiber filters at flow rates between 40-60 ft³/min.

Mass Flow Control Technology

The MFC system uses a hot wire anemometer probe inserted into the flow stream to automatically adjust motor speed as the filter collects particulate, maintaining constant flow rate throughout the sampling period. This real-time feedback control compensates for increasing filter loading and environmental conditions that would otherwise cause flow drift in conventional samplers.

Brushless Motor Design

The brushless motor configuration eliminates carbon brush replacement intervals and reduces maintenance requirements compared to brush-style motors. Brushless technology delivers consistent performance for continuous field deployment while supporting extended service life in harsh environmental conditions.
