Tisch Scientific grew out of more than 70 years of Tisch family history in air sampling. Today we supply thousands of filtration and lab products to scientists around the world, and every one of us is an owner.

Our Story
Tisch Scientific grew from customers asking for help, and from a family business that knew air sampling inside and out.

Over 70 years ago
The foundation
Web Tisch, the patriarch of the Tisch family, acquired General Metal Works, Inc. That purchase laid the foundation for everything the Tisch companies would become.

1998
Tisch Environmental is founded
As environmental regulations emerged and demand for air quality monitoring grew, the industry needed a dependable manufacturer of quality air sampling products. John and Jim Tisch founded Tisch Environmental to fill that need.

2007
Tisch Scientific is born
As air monitoring equipment became more widely used, the need for replacement filters grew with it, and Tisch Environmental began receiving requests for filters from around the world. Tisch Scientific was established to supply those essential parts.

What started with replacement filters now spans thousands of products across biochemistry, environmental regulation, pharmaceutical research, higher education, and more. We carry our own Tisch Scientific line alongside trusted brands, and as a 100% employee owned company, the people helping you are owners of the business.
