About Us

Over 70 years ago, Web Tisch, the patriarch of the Tisch family, acquired General Metal Works, Inc. This purchase laid the foundation for what would become the Tisch companies.

The increasing demand for air quality monitoring and the emergence of environmental regulations created a need for a dependable manufacturer of quality air sampling products. In 1998, John and Jim Tisch founded Tisch Environmental to address this need.

As air monitoring equipment became more widely used, the demand for replacement filters increased. Tisch Environmental began receiving inquiries for replacement filters from around the world. In response, Tisch Scientific was established in 2007 to provide these essential parts.

Today, Tisch Scientific offers over 5,500 products across various scientific fields, including biochemistry, environmental regulation, pharmaceutical research, higher education, and more.
