The LabExact HandiPrep� filtration device shortens sample-prep workflow and more efficiently uses sample fluids. Designed to perform filtration of high viscosity fluids and clarify heavily precipitated suspensions
The device performs filtration without the requirement of an external syringe filter allowing maximum yield via low hold up volume. HandiPrep� replaces several steps in sample preparation that often requires serial filtration in step down porosities which saves time and uses less sample volume. Prep time and clean up can be reduced while mitigating the risk of cross contamination. Ideal for clarification of viscous fluids such as oils, fuels, extracts, dilute creams & pastes
HandiPrep� is not designed to be used as an absolute filter, instead its primary application is as a preparatory stage separation device which takes the place of a larger fluted filter or Buchner funnel filter procedure
Five filter syringe versions are available with 4 filter media types that are compatible with aqueous and non-aqueous samples (verify chemical compatibility prior to use)
Versions available for viscous fluids ranging from 1-10,000cps with output retention ranging from 1 -2�m. The 5ml capacity syringes have a polypropylene housing with silicone plunger
HandiPrep� can be used in vacuum SPE manifolds without the plunger and can significantly reduce fluid holdup by compression of media for highest sample fluid yield
Food & Beverage use includes food safety SOP�s such as Mycotoxin inspections including sampling and general sample preparation. Also useful for Honey filtration, syrup, dairy processing, edible oil refining
