For some applications with fluids containing high levels of suspended solids, a syringe filter with an incorporated glass fiber prefilter will usually have greater total throughput when comparted to one without a prefilter. The depth filtration structure traps particulates throughout the membrane thickness rather than solely at the surface, enabling extended filter life with challenging sample matrices. Precision-molded polypropylene construction with Luer-Lok® inlet ensures secure syringe connection while the clearly inscribed barrel marking enhances identification during protocols.
