Featuring a naturally hydrophilic cellulose acetate membrane with a 1.2um pore size and a 25mm membrane diameter, these nonsterile syringe filters deliver rapid clarification of aqueous and organic solutions. The membrane is housed in an ultrasonically welded acrylic body that bidirectionally supports the membrane, allowing sample injection or aspiration with a low hold-up volume.
Key Cellulose Acetate Membrane Characteristics
- Naturally hydrophilic membrane that wets out readily for efficient processing of aqueous solutions.
- Low protein binding, helping maximize recovery of proteins and other sensitive analytes.
- 1.2um pore size suited to clarification and particulate removal from less heavily loaded samples.
- Compatible with aqueous and organic solutions for broad sample-preparation use.
- Uniform membrane structure for consistent, reproducible filtration.
Key Construction Characteristics
- Acrylic housing, ultrasonically welded to provide a secure seal and eliminate filter bypass.
- Female Luer Lock inlet and Male Luer Lock outlet (FLL/MLL) for compatible syringe connections.
- Nonsterile.
- 25mm membrane diameter with a 33mm housing diameter.
- Supplied 100 per pack.
Each filter is integrity tested to verify a proper fit and weld, supporting reliable performance run after run. The hydrophilic, low-binding membrane helps preserve sample integrity, and individual labeling of filter material and pore size keeps identification simple even outside the original packaging.
