GF/B grade glass microfiber filter papers are significantly thicker than grade GF/A filters. They also boast a much higher wet strength and load capacity. Liquid clarification and scintillation techniques requiring high load capacity demands these filter papers – three times thicker than GF/A grade – that can stand up to heavily loaded fine particulate suspensions while maintaining fine particulate retention needed for proper filtration.
GF/B grade filter papers can also be used as a finely retentive membrane filter, if needed. At 21 centimeters in diameter, this product is Whatman’s smallest circle GF/B grade filter paper available.
