Whatman fits more prefiltration capacity into the GD/X housing without enlarging it, a space-efficient answer for samples too demanding for one filtration pass. A syringe filter's small hold-up volume limits sample loss, a meaningful difference when working with a limited or precious sample. A hydrophilic graft lets PVDF wet HPLC samples despite its fluoropolymer backbone while reversing PVDF's natural affinity for protein adsorption and holds absolute retention steady across the entire membrane. The polypropylene housing presses snugly against the membrane during the pass and is supplied pre-sterilized in individual packaging for sterile sample preparation. Where bench-scale prep must move quickly from one sample to the next, each sample starts as clean as the last without a carry-over risk or a cleaning step between uses.
