Gas and vent service calls for a hydrophobic syringe filter rated to the same sterilizing-grade pore size as its liquid counterpart. Hydrophobic PTFE blocks aqueous ingress in vent and gas applications while delivering sterilizing-grade gas and vent filtration and resists attack from the harshest process chemistries. The polypropylene housing presses snugly against the membrane during the pass while holding its form through high-temperature sample preparation conditions and keeps the sample chemically unaltered across the pass. A vent or gas line stays free of airborne bacteria once a hydrophobic, sterilizing-grade membrane is in the path.
