Sterilizing-grade syringe filters deliver sterile-grade retention as a single-use format, eliminating the autoclaving and cleaning cycle a reusable sterile filtration setup would require. Nylon withstands elevated differential pressures while drawing aqueous samples through without pre-wetting and delivers bacterial retention at the rated pore size. The polypropylene housing presses snugly against the membrane during the pass while routing flow to minimize backpressure in service and sheds virtually no extractable material into the sample. Where bacterial contamination must stay out of the sample, manufacturer-tested retention keeps the instrument and downstream assay protected without a housing to maintain or clean.
