Each hydrophobic vent-rated filter carries manufacturer bacterial retention testing built into the design, letting a vent line stay in continuous service without repeating that testing on site between uses. PVDF resists HPLC mobile phases, alcohols, and mild hydrocarbons and passes gases freely while holding back water. The polypropylene housing routes flow to minimize backpressure in service while holding its seal true run after run and resists degradation from routine sample matrices. A vent or gas line stays free of airborne bacteria once a hydrophobic, sterilizing-grade membrane is in the path.
