LabExact MultiDensity Glass Fiber (GF) Syringe Filters, 1.6 µm, 25 mm, 100/Pk - LE-IWT-ES-10706
Many syringe filters ship with lot-specific quality documentation, giving analysts documented traceability beyond what an ad hoc bulk filtration setup typically provides. Inorganic glass fiber offers broad chemical compatibility for demanding samples and draws aqueous samples through without preconditioning. The PP housing sustains efficient flow on viscous samples while leaving no seam for sample to bypass the membrane and delivers a chemically clean filtrate to the downstream step. Where analytical results depend on clean samples, the preparation step stays consistent from sample to sample through a pre-tested syringe filter.
Membrane Characteristics
- Continuous glass fiber microstructure supports even flow distribution across the filter face
- Nominal pore ratings available from below one micron to coarse prefilter grades
- Handles acidic, neutral, and mildly alkaline aqueous samples without matrix degradation
- Biologically inert borosilicate fiber with broad chemical compatibility
- Extends filterable sample volume three to seven times versus unprotected media
Housing Characteristics
- Polypropylene density near 0.90 g/cm3 keeps housing weight low relative to denser engineering plastics
- Withstands standard 121°C steam autoclave cycles without softening or structural distortion
- Housing tolerates elevated-temperature aqueous and solvent sample filtration up to about 80°C without softening
- Rigid polypropylene body maintains its geometry through routine filtration pressure
A particulate-laden aqueous sample makes the rest of your preparation unpredictable. General-purpose aqueous filtration supports the sample types you handle every day so you can standardize one filter across most aqueous methods. Sterilization Guidance
Standard autoclave cycles at 121°C for 30 minutes prepare the device for sterile workflows.

- Protein Aggregate Removal - Glass fiber removes large protein aggregates and precipitates from crude lysate ahead of activity assays and separation.
- Viscous Fluids - Supports rapid processing of suspension cultures and lysates that quickly foul standard membrane filters alone.
- Suspension Culture - Depth filtration structure keeps shear stress low during harvest clarification, limiting cell lysis and contaminant release.
- Feed and Forage Analysis - Glass fiber removes undissolved feed matrix particles ahead of nutrient extraction and proximate composition analysis.
- Pathogen Detection Prep - Clears turbidity from food and water samples ahead of Salmonella and Pseudomonas enumeration, preventing membrane clogging.
- Cannabis Extract Analysis - Glass fiber removes lipid and plant wax particulates from cannabis extracts ahead of cannabinoid potency testing.
