High-binding PVDF holds transferred proteins through stripping and reprobing. The PVDF surface wets through a brief methanol activation step while capturing transferred proteins at high binding capacity and supports chemiluminescent, colorimetric, and fluorescent detection. Where stripping and reprobing matter, mechanically strong PVDF carries the blot through repeated rounds.
