Each hydrophobic vent-rated filter carries manufacturer bacterial retention testing built into the design, letting a vent line stay in continuous service without repeating that testing on site between uses. Hydrophobic PTFE repels water while passing gases and solvents freely while staying chemically inert against solvents, acids, and alkalis in service and provides bacterial retention in gas and vent streams. Polypropylene construction maintains a low-dead-volume internal flow path while staying inert across common laboratory solvents and preserves sample chemistry across the flow path. Downstream equipment and work areas stay protected from airborne bacterial contamination once the vent path runs through the membrane.
