A syringe filter dispenses filtrate directly into an autosampler vial, without the intermediate collection vessel a bulk vacuum filtration setup typically needs. Hydrophobic polypropylene suits solvent and non-aqueous sample streams while delivering nominal retention with high dirt-loading capacity and tolerates solvents and acids that degrade many membranes. The polypropylene housing presses snugly against the membrane during the pass and is supplied pre-sterilized in individual packaging for sterile sample preparation. Where small-volume samples must reach the instrument clean, low hold-up volume keeps sample loss minimal while the instrument stays protected from particulate damage.
