Gas and vent service calls for a hydrophobic syringe filter rated to the same sterilizing-grade pore size as its liquid counterpart. The hydrophobic PTFE membrane suits gas, vent, and solvent-stream filtration while staying chemically inert against solvents, acids, and alkalis in service and handles concentrated acids and bases. Polyolefin construction sheds virtually no extractable material into the sample and stands firm against aqueous acids, bases, and alcohols during regular handling. Downstream equipment and work areas stay protected from airborne bacterial contamination once the vent path runs through the membrane.
