A single-use hydrophobic vent filter reaches sterilizing-grade retention on a vent line without the autoclave cycle or in-line housing a reusable gas filtration setup would require. Chemically inert PTFE resists attack from the harshest process chemistries while delivering sterilizing-grade gas and vent filtration and suits gas, vent, and solvent-stream filtration. The polypropylene housing presses snugly against the membrane during the pass while providing a factory-sterilized fluid path suited to aseptic sample preparation and maintains a low-dead-volume internal flow path. No separate sterilization cycle is needed when the gas path already runs through a validated sterile-grade membrane.

• Node-fibril microstructure resists compaction under sustained operating pressure
