ME25/21 Mixed Cellulose Ester Membrane Circle, 47 mm 0.45 µm, white membrane with black gridlines, sterile, 2000/pk
Product Details
Mixed cellulose ester (MCE) membrane filters are composed of both cellulose acetate (CA) and cellulose nitrate (CN). These membranes are characterized by a smoother and more uniform surface compared to pure nitrocellulose filters. In addition, the color contrast provided by the filter surface better facilitates particle detection and reduces eye fatigue. The ME range has a lower cellulose acetate content compared to the WME range of membranes.
Features and Benefits
- Sterile options available for critical applications.
- Excellent contrast for easier particle detection.
- Grids are nontoxic and do not inhibit bacterial growth, ensuring sample integrity.
- White membrane with black gridlines have a mix of cellulose nitrate and cellulose acetate.
- The membrane offers a high degree of internal surface area for greater adsorption of product.
- Higher dirt loading capacity.
- Biologically inert with good thermal stability.
- No surfactants to contaminate samples.
- Uniform microporous structure of membrane gives high flow rates.
- Suitable alternative option to Pall SKU # 66191 (GN-6 Membrane, 0.45µm, 47mm, White, Gridded, Gamma-Irradiated, Bulk w/ Parchment Separators, Boxes of 200 (2000/pkg)).
