FTA cards hold captured DNA and RNA on the card surface at room temperature for more than twenty years of validated storage. Retained nucleic acid washes in place and amplifies directly from the punch while locking DNA and RNA in place at room temperature and ruptures cells while inactivating pathogens at collection. For direct PCR after an in-place wash, the FTA matrix delivers clean, amplification-ready template from a single punch.
