A 3.0 mm punch from the FTA Elute card carries stabilized nucleic acid into buffer for elution, with optional Proteinase K and a QIAshredder. Captured nucleic acid elutes into FTA Elute Buffer for liquid-phase assays and pairs with optional Proteinase K and QIAshredder cleanup. Where archived cards must yield solution-phase template, decades of stable storage give up clean nucleic acid on elution.
