At the sub-micron pore rating, a syringe filter delivers sterilizing-grade retention at the point of use. Nylon adds a layered glass-fiber prefilter for particulate-laden samples while staying stable across pH 3 to 12 and moves aqueous buffers through without pre-wetting. The polypropylene housing routes flow to minimize backpressure in service while leaving no seam for sample to bypass the membrane and stands firm against aqueous acids, bases, and alcohols during regular handling. For workflows requiring validated sterile-grade performance, point-of-use retention meets it without a separate sterilization step.
