A syringe filter dispenses filtrate directly into an autosampler vial, without the intermediate collection vessel a bulk vacuum filtration setup typically needs. PTFE holds consistent absolute retention at the rated pore size while suiting solvent filtration where other membranes fail and stays chemically inert against solvents, acids, and alkalis. Thermal-bonded PP construction leaves no seam for sample to bypass the membrane while standing firm against aqueous acids, bases, and alcohols during regular handling and sustains efficient flow on viscous samples.
