Each hydrophobic vent-rated filter carries manufacturer bacterial retention testing built into the design, letting a vent line stay in continuous service without repeating that testing on site between uses. The hydrophobic PTFE membrane provides bacterial retention in gas and vent streams while repelling water and passing gases and solvents freely and stays chemically inert against solvents, acids, and alkalis. Low-extractable polypropylene keeps sample purity intact through the filtration pass while leaving no seam for sample to bypass the membrane and routes flow to minimize backpressure in service. Downstream equipment and work areas stay protected from airborne bacterial contamination once the vent path runs through the membrane.
